Within Stripe Sales proudly serves as a critical source of user feedback and market intelligence with direct influence on Stripes product roadmap and growth strategy.

The Commercial Team is very international and diverse. Apart from Stripes Operating Principles the teams guiding principles are fun and collaboration. We are looking for a team member who is open to sharing knowledge across teams and open to learn from each other - Always stay curious.

What youll do

As an Account Executive you will drive Stripes future growth engine by building relationships with prospective clients and turning them into satisfied Stripe users. Youll manage a named account list serving as the main point of contact for many new and growing businesses interested in Stripe. You will also be responsible for generating your own outbound leads. Youll handle the full sales cycle including onboarding new users. Youre an energetic and organized self-starter; you understand the sales process can build relationships with the right decision-makers and can succinctly define and communicate the specific benefits of Stripe that are appropriate for each user.

Responsibilities

  • Get new businesses on Stripe
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline
  • Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing onboarding and activation for businesses
  • Generate your own leads through cold calling blitzing research networking and driving your territory
  • Manage leads qualified by our inbound and outbound sales development representatives
  • Ensure that every potential Stripe user has a positive experience with every interaction regardless of deal size
  • Identify and understand users pain points in order to propose effective Stripe solutions
  • Coordinate with other Stripe teams to ensure that internal resources are set up for users success

Who you are

Were looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 2-3 years of full-time experience in the solution sales field with successfully closed and onboarded deals
  • Experience in sales with fast-growing and mid-sized businesses
  • Ability to understand the Stripe API and build strong relationships with highly technical customers
  • Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
  • High professional fluency in German and English
  • Open to traveling and attending events

Preferred requirements

  • Strong interest and knowledge in technology payments landscape and products
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
