  • Fisheries Technician Grade2/3 from $73989 per annum (FTE) plus super and leave loading

About the Role
The primary purpose of the role is to carry out technical procedures computing tasks and supervise staff where required to support the implementation of the States shark mitigation and incident response programs (hereinafter referred to as the Shark Program).

About You
As our ideal candidate you will have:

  • Experience in supervising and assisting teams with data collection fieldwork and technical procedures while maintaining QA/QC compliance.
  • Understanding of purchasing preparing and maintaining fisheries-related equipment.
  • Demonstrated capability in accurate and timely data recording entry and retrieval for analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of preparing scientific outputs including graphs figures and data summaries.
  • Understanding of departmental policies covering animal ethics safety biosecurity and related compliance requirements
