Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our 2nd shift Top Load Washer production team in a fast-paced high-volume manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong focus on safety team development and continuous improvement. As a first-line leader you will coach and mentor your team to achieve production goals ensure quality standards and maintain a culture of engagement and accountability.
This position is based in Ripon WI and operates on 2nd shift Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 1:00 am with occasional Friday overtime from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead safety initiatives and promote a culture of awareness and compliance
- Coach mentor and develop production team members to improve skills and productivity
- Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices including process optimization and waste reduction
- Support team members in meeting production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Ensure proper training in equipment operation safety quality and 5S practices
- Collaborate with technical staff for equipment support and process troubleshooting
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations and coordinate with Union Stewards as needed
- Establish annual goals and metrics for production and safety performance
- Monitor and maintain production schedules rates and standards
- Promote a respectful inclusive and team-oriented work environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Manufacturing Engineering or Operations preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in high-volume fast-paced manufacturing environments with a focus on safety
- Previous manufacturing supervision experience preferred
- Strong leadership skills with a servant leadership mindset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel)
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing Kaizen Kanban and process control is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to coach team members in proactive solutions
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stoop bend and stand for long periods
- Manual dexterity and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
