- Pay Rate: $40 - $46/hr; (Negotiable based on experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit on a contract basis. The RN will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill and post-operative patients who require close monitoring. This role is ideal for nurses experienced in telemetry step-down or intermediate care units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess plan implement and evaluate nursing care for patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions including cardiac rhythms vital signs and lab results.
- Administer medications treatments and IV therapies safely and accurately.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans treatments and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with infection control and quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the state of Kentucky.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years nursing experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills.
