Position: Applications Support Engineer
Location: Columbus OH (Onsite 5 days a week; local or nearby candidates preferred)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Applications Support Engineer to provide hands-on support for enterprise applications across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux Windows Unix and J2EE-based applications with experience in JBoss Apache Kafka and Tomcat. Clear communication skills are essential for collaborating with multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities: -
Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for enterprise applications.

Manage and maintain applications on Linux Windows and Unix environments.

Support J2EE platforms and application servers including JBoss Apache Tomcat.

Monitor troubleshoot and maintain messaging systems such as Kafka.
-
Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders regarding incidents resolutions and system updates.

Document technical procedures configurations and incident resolutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications: -
5 years of hands-on experience in application support.

Strong experience with Linux Windows Unix administration.

Hands-on experience with J2EE platforms and application servers: JBoss Apache Tomcat.

Experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Nice to Have: -
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS Azure).

Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.

Exposure to Agile or DevOps practices.
