#Hiring: Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)

About the Role
Seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)to support mission-critical cybersecurity initiatives for government this remote role youll lead the analysis integration and operational maintenance of enterprise security systems applying advanced cybersecurity principles to ensure confidentiality integrity and availability across complex IT environments. This position provides a unique opportunity to directly impact national and global security operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the integration testing operations and maintenance of security systems and processes
Conduct Security Control Assessments (SCA) and manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) operations
Apply cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g. NIST SP 800-53 CIS CSC Cybersecurity Framework) to assess and enforce system security controls
Analyze threats vulnerabilities and risks across IT industrial control and supervisory systems
Manage configuration access controls encryption and key management to support enterprise security policies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure design deployment and ongoing operations of IT systems
Provide guidance on regulatory legal and privacy requirements impacting cybersecurity programs
Participate in Materials Access Areas (MAA) and Human Reliability Program (HRP) activities as required
Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security or related field with 2 years of relevant experience OR five years of cyber incident response experience
Masters or PhD in technical field may be considered with commensurate experience
10 years of education and/or experience may satisfy requirements depending on credential level
Technical Skills & Competencies:
Expert knowledge in cybersecurity principles privacy and risk management
Experience with network security IT system design encryption cryptography and industrial control systems
Strong skills in vulnerability assessment security system integration and access control management
Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms and security compliance frameworks
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills for technical and executive audiences
Ability to work independently in a remote high-demand environment
