Job Summary
Our client is a leading distributor of technology services and lifestyle products in Sub-Saharan Africa. They currently have an opening for a Senior Finance Manager to be based in Lagos Nigeria. The Senior Finance Manager leads the financial planning and analysis function providing strategic insights and guidance to executive leadership. This role is responsible for optimizing financial performance mentoring finance staff and driving initiatives that support the companys growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial strategy planning and analysis across business units.
- Provide high-level financial reporting and insights to executive management.
- Oversee budgeting forecasting and variance analysis.
- Drive initiatives to improve working capital and financial efficiency.
- Mentor and supervise finance team members.
- Coordinate performance appraisals within the finance department.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and corporate policies.
- Represent the finance department in strategic meetings and decision-making processes.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or related field; Masters degree is an advantage.
- Professional certification (e.g. ACA ACCA ICAN) is required.
- Minimum of 6/7 years of progressive experience in finance with at least 3 years in a senior role.
- Proficiency in use of an ERP (Preferably Dynamics 365) is required.
- Proven leadership and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Strong understanding of financial systems and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
