A total of 15 teams work on projects for government agencies banking mobile services and the Internet Of Things (IoT) technology. At the core of our business is the development of software which we configure and embed in a multitude of different devices and form factors. These include many kinds of payment cards SIM cards travel passes secure eBanking devices authentication tokens machine identification modules (MIM) and secure ID documents including ePassports eID and eHealth cards as well as eDriving licenses. Because of the international environment surrounding us every day it comes as no surprise that English is our official corporate language.

We are on the lookout for motivated Intern to join our team in Prague to work on Thales solutions in Identity and Biometric Solution. The objective is to participate in the development of a mobile application (on Android) which performs biometric enrollment for face and fingerprint modalities using the phones camera. The intern will work with different teams who contribute to the prototyping of this application. The student will enhance the existing PoC by adding new biometric functionalities such as face matching between a selfie and the digital identity photo stored in an electronic passport.

You will work within the innovation team of the technical directoratecomprised of experts in cybersecurity automation biometrics cloud computing and system architecture.

Mentoring and guidance will be provided throughout the internship.

Most of the communication will be in English (oral and written)

A background in software engineering with a major in mobile development is preferred.

Duration: 6 months (starting date flexible)
