  • Support exciting projects from ASHA Convention logistics to member renewals to data dashboards that keep our community thriving

  • Have 1-3 years of administrative experience with a track record of juggling multiple priorities like a pro
  • Bring strong tech skills (Microsoft Office Google Suite CRM databases) and the curiosity to learn new tools
  • Love solving problems creatively and take pride in getting the details right
  • Communicate warmly and clearly whether youre composing an email or answering a worried students call

I. Purpose

This position directly supports the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Associations (National NSSLHA) mission to inspire empower and support communication sciences and disorders students by delivering exceptional experiences through comprehensive member services and responsive customer service to students members chapters academic programs and the National Office team. This role provides essential operational support that enables students to fully access critical opportunities and resources that drive their success.

II. Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage member services bulk dues membership processing giveaway fulfillment account updates and adjustments and member renewal and prospect follow-up activities. Responding promptly to telephone and email contacts.
  2. Investigate inquiries thoroughly apply initiative and creativity in troubleshooting and resolving problems and report service trends to supervisors and the team.
  3. Ensure accurate and timely financial processing of product and program expenditures scholarship payments and event expenses to enable seamless execution of initiatives and maintain fiscal accountability.
  4. Prepare/enhance presentations social media templates spreadsheets letters certificates and other documents.
  5. Develop and maintain procedures and processes set up filing systems and maintain records on internal network.
  6. Prepare social media membership and program data analytics reports and generate dashboard and engagement reports.
  7. Coordinate logistics for internal and external meetings including for ASHA Convention.

IV. Autonomy & Decision Making:

The position has the authority to work and perform duties independently; the Senior Director and team will be available for consultation and support on the goals and responsibilities related to the Unit. The position has latitude in communicating with students volunteers members National Office staff and external organizations.

V. Qualifications & Skills

Qualifications:

Knowledge typically acquired through:

  • 1-3 years of administrative experience
  • AA or BA degree or equivalent experience

Skills

  • Proficiency using tools such as Microsoft Office Google Suite CRM databases (e.g. netFORUM Salesforce) and social media platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to assist others
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; independently compose correspondence and technical documents for members and staff
  • Demonstrated ability to complete work accurately with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team
