Your new role

We are seeking a Peer Pilot Placement Lead to oversee the Pilot Placement Support Program for the Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work. This program aims to create pathways into mental health peer work for people with lived or living experienceeither as a consumer or as a family/carer of someone with mental health challenges.

The role will manage the program from initial setup through to day-to-day operations supporting 80-hour student placements at Hartleys Emergency Relief and Op Shop in Prahran.

Your skills and experience

To be successful in your application you will possess Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work and/ or Tertiary Qualifications in Psychology Social Work OT Psychiatric Nursing Youth Work or other Allied Health Disciplines.

You will also have:

  • Experience developing and delivering education and placement programs in mental health
  • Experience working with peer workers
  • Understanding of AOD mental health social services and/or welfare sectors
  • Strong engagement collaboration and networking skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage time efficiently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Windows and client databases
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to work on site at Prahran as required
