Technical Consultant

Are you ready to take on the role of a Technical Consultant for our client one of the most prestigious financial organizations in Bahrain 

The role would require frequent travel to Bahrain for a total of 25% of the total annual working time.

As a Technical Consultant you will:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform minor changes and enhancements in J2EE applications and Oracle PL/SQL code ensuring alignment with business needs.
• Write and optimize SQL queries PL/SQL scripts stored procedures and database functions.
• Assist in backlog refinement prioritization and planning by working closely with developers and business analysts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to both data and application processes.
• Develop expertise in the social security domain to better understand client needs.
• Support software testing validation and documentation ensuring smooth implementation of changes.
• Facilitate technical discussions and stakeholder workshops to ensure alignment.
• Manage scope changes and communicate updates effectively to stakeholders.
• Provide regular reports on project progress and technical challenges.

Qualifications :

What would make you a fit for the role:

• Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field. Masters degree or MBA would be considered a plus.
• Excellent English skills (oral and written).
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in consulting software engineering or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with J2EE development and Oracle PL/SQL including minor code enhancements and debugging.
• Ability to troubleshoot application and database issues and implement small changes effectively.
• Experience in stakeholder management with strong communication skills with the ability to navigate complex business environments.
• Proven experience in software development lifecycle.
• Solid understanding of backlog prioritization and refinement within Agile frameworks.
• Ability to travel at 25% of the total annual working time.
