Your role at St John of God St John of God Geelong Hospital
You will be responsible for the provision of quality patient care through the safe transport of patients within the hospital and maintaining a tidy clean and safe environment. The position is varied over a number of different shifts. Responsibilities include efficient delivery of service with commitment to quality and productivity.
These roles are being offered on a casual basis.
The Position
Provide assistance to clinical caregivers to provide optimal patient care.
Assists with the correct safe gentle and dignified transfer of patients within the hospital.
Assists nursing staff with lifting as required.
Assists nursing staff with bed attachments and movement as required.
To maintain cleanliness of working areas as required.
To conduct oneself in a courteous proper manner whilst performing duties or accepting instructions.
Adheres to Infection Management Manual Policy and Procedures.
Maintain Universal Blood and Body Substances (BABS) Precautions at all times.
Identifies infection risks informs and participates in initiating appropriate action.
You will have well developed organisational skills with the ability to manage own workflow and effectively prioritise competing demands.
To succeed you will have interpersonal skills ability to relate to hospital staff patients families and medical staff and ability to work extra shifts or different shifts if required.
We can offer you
Salary: $33.40 to $34.77 (includes casual loading) plus 12% superannuation

As a casual employee you can salary package a percentage of your earnings each pay period
