This Senior IT Program Manager role sits within the Global Commercial Office (GCO) Digital and Technology organizations Customer Experience Technology Delivery team. The GCO is a catalyst for growth leading Medtronic Commercial strategy. We are the backbone of the commercial organization - an idea center bringing industry-leading practices to life.

As the Senior IT Program Manager you will drive collaboration between agile teams and projects. You will play a critical role in standing up new efforts via the demand management processes. You will identify cross-team/project dependencies and drive connections to ensure seamless integration of efforts. Youll ensure major programs stay on track defining business cases and maintaining alignment to them defining objectives and plans managing risks and driving consistent communication to cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Set a clear program vision that aligns with business strategy and defined practices and policies
  • Preparing impact analysis against scope schedules and budget
  • Identifying reviewing and presenting all Change Requests to governance groups (i.e. Steering Committee)
  • Creating maintaining and reporting Business Case and Value Realization Plan
  • Collaborating with finance to develop the ROI and managing the financial cost modeling
  • Creating maintaining and reporting against a cross-project schedule and resource management plan
  • Liaising with key Stakeholders and implementation resource groups to ensure alignment
  • Providing critical leadership to ensure overall quality of project planning and execution while minimizing and mitigating project risks
  • Identify mitigate and review Risk and Issue Logs assuming ownership for critical and program level risks and issues
  • Directing day-to-day activities for multiple work-stream teams through managing project plans resourcing status reporting resolving issues identifying project risks and accountability for deliverables across multiple internal and external stakeholders such as Marketing IT Data & Analytics Privacy and Security and Legal
  • Provides leadership for those involved in the development design and optimization of one or more information technology and systems functions supporting company business processes and technical information systems platforms.
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to analysis selection and modification of enterprise systems application software installation of network hardware/software and database management.
  • Provides direction for the effort required to protect the companys data tools and information systems.
  • Ensure infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility.
  • Usually requires subject matter knowledge of user group for practical application of system characteristics.
  • Coordinates delivery of services to user groups and ensures IT service is uninterrupted.
  • Selects develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelors degree
  • 7 years of experience with a bachelors degree or 5 years of experience with an advanced degree

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Autonomy to manage medium to large scale programs defining plans and delivering methodologies.
  • Accountability for overall program processes performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Problem solving skills to innovatively overcome complexities in cross-project/cross-team challenges.
  • Process improvement mindset to improve project program and team ways of working.
  • Influence across the organization to balance divergent objectives and gain cooperation on program objectives and plans.
  • Requires broad management knowledge and experience to lead project teams in one department.
  • Typically has mastery level knowledge and skills within IT delivery and a broad understanding of marketing data and technology

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$156000.00 - $234000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience certification/education market conditions and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
