Job Description
We are seeking a Senior SDET / Automation Test Engineer with 10 years of experience in the required skill set. This is a hybrid role based in Chicago IL 60661 and local candidates only are strongly preferred.
The ideal candidate will have strong test automation expertise hands-on experience building automation frameworks in Java and proven experience leading and mentoring teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design build and maintain test automation frameworks using Java
Perform automation and manual testing for enterprise applications
Lead and mentor a team of 5-7 SDET/QA engineers
Conduct back-end API testing in an AWS environment
Test services on API platforms handling large volumes of data
Support testing for internal customer-facing and dealer-facing applications
Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines
Participate in code reviews test strategy discussions and quality planning
Required Skills & Experience
10 years of experience as a Senior SDET / Automation Test Engineer
Strong expertise in Java-based test automation
Hands-on experience with Karate Rest Assured and Cucumber
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Proven experience working as a technical lead
Strong understanding of API and back-end testing
Experience testing applications hosted in AWS environments

Interview Process
One round 2-hour in-person interview
Interview will include:
Java coding exercise
Discussion on UI testing experience
Evaluation of leadership and mentoring experience
No virtual interviews for non-local candidates
