Opportunity

WEM has a rewarding opportunity for aLandscape Tradesperson to join the team.

We have a strong portfolio of work with multiple projects underway across Sydneys Northwest and Southwest. This role requires travel to job sites across the area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation of hardscape structures including pavement (sub-bases concrete A/C segmental units) stone features shelters street furniture fitness equipment irrigation systems and playground installation including surface finishes and feature elements
• Installation of softscape elements including tree and shrub planting tree guards garden and turf soils turf Installation organic and inorganic mulches and jute matting.
• Assist with the management of machinery and landscape preparation
• Operate small plant and equipment to execute tasks efficiently and to the highest standard.
• Ensure worksites are clean organised and operating smoothly
• Strictly follow safety regulations and statutory requirements including Local Council and EPA guidelines.
• Lead and mentor Landscape Labourers and Apprentices sharing expertise and fostering a skilled motivated team.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has:

• Relevant Certificate or Diploma in Landscaping or Horticulture or 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of the construction industry and processes
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Ability to guide and support Landscape Labourers and Apprentices in day-to-day tasks
• Strong commitment to health safety environment and quality standards
• Proactive with the ability to use initiative
• Construction White Card
• Valid Drivers Licence with flexibility to travel between job sites
