The Opportunity

WEM Scape has a rewarding opportunity for a Landscape Apprentice to join the team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in landscaping whether youre just starting out or already undertaking a Certificate III apprenticeship.

We have a strong portfolio of work with multiple projects underway across Sydneys Northwest and Southwest Hunter and Illawarra regions. This role requires travel to job sites across the area.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Landscape Apprentice you will learn all aspects of landscape construction and maintenance through hands-on experience and on-the-job training including:

• Assisting with landscaping tasks including planting mulching soil preparation and general site upkeep.
• Supporting the installation of hardscape elements such as paths edging retaining walls and drainage components.
• Learning to safely use plant tools and equipment under supervision.
• Participating in landscape maintenance including vegetation removal and tidying sites
• Following instructions and safety requirements asking questions to build skills and ensuring compliance with WEM Scape standards.
• Working collaboratively with the team maintaining a positive attitude and willingness to learn across all tasks.

What Were Looking For:

• Certificate III in Landscape Construction Parks & Gardens or similar (enrolled or willing to undertake)
• An interest in landscaping and outdoor work
• Willingness to learn and follow direction
• The ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team
• Strong commitment to health safety environment and quality standards and practices
• A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative
• A construction white card
• Valid Drivers Licence with flexibility to travel between job sites
