Pharmacy Technician

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide courteous and efficient customer service to patients dropping off or picking up prescriptions.
- Enter and process prescription orders accurately into the computer system consulting with the pharmacist as needed.
- Retrieve count and prepare medication orders to support the pharmacists workflow.
- Create and update patient profiles including health and insurance information within the pharmacy management system.
- Assist in answering patient inquiries and coordinating with healthcare providers to ensure proper medication management.
- Support inventory management by stocking and organizing pharmacy supplies.
- Maintain compliance with all pharmacy policies procedures and regulatory requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
- Valid pharmacy technician license or registration as required by state regulations.
- Prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and medication handling.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy management software.
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws regulations and safety procedures.
