Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Pharmacy Technician where you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of quality pharmacy and primary medical services. Under the supervision of licensed pharmacists you will assist with daily pharmacy operations and collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure patients receive exceptional care. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide courteous and efficient customer service to patients dropping off or picking up prescriptions.
- Enter and process prescription orders accurately into the computer system consulting with the pharmacist as needed.
- Retrieve count and prepare medication orders to support the pharmacists workflow.
- Create and update patient profiles including health and insurance information within the pharmacy management system.
- Assist in answering patient inquiries and coordinating with healthcare providers to ensure proper medication management.
- Support inventory management by stocking and organizing pharmacy supplies.
- Maintain compliance with all pharmacy policies procedures and regulatory requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
- Valid pharmacy technician license or registration as required by state regulations.
- Prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and medication handling.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy management software.
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws regulations and safety procedures.
