The Role
The appointee will be responsible for the daily operations of the HKU Visitor Centre and Campus Store including souvenir and stationery sales warehouse duties such asstock picking and organising inventory and receiving visitors and providing them with information about the University. Regular weekend shifts are required.
Qualifications and Qualities
- 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007) Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language Chinese Language and Mathematics preferably with at least 1 years relevant work experience;
- A fair command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- Basic IT proficiency (MS Excel in particular);
- Good organisational communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to multi-task; and be attentive to details and self-motivated;
- Those with less experience/qualifications will be appointed as Clerical Assistant.
