Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Cath Lab RN will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing various cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures. The role involves managing a daily caseload of 8-12 patients and requires expertise in coronary and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures as well as permanent pacemaker implantation. The RN will work within the Cath Lab collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Location:Eureka California United States
Responsibilities:

- Provide skilled nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.
- Manage a daily caseload of 8-12 patients.
- Assist with coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Assist with peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Assist with permanent pacemaker implantations.
- Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic status during procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Document patient care accurately and completely in Epic.
- Collaborate with physicians technicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Respond to emergency situations and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Participate in patient and family education.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting.
- ARRT certification.
- Fluoro Permit.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Active Registered Nurse license.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- RCIS certification (in addition to ARRT).
- Experience with Epic charting.
Special Considerations:

- Weekend work is required.
- On-call responsibilities are required.
- Facility may call off one shift per two weeks.
- Will consider candidates with pending Fluoro permits provided they have already applied at the time of submission.
- RTO must be approved at the time of submission.
Scheduling:
- Schedule and shift type not specified.
- Block schedules may be considered.
- Orientation is 30 hours.
