Description:
  • We are seeking a and nbsp;quality assurance specialist and nbsp;with expertise in structured testing methodologies government compliance and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of testing processes strong analytical skills and experience conducting functional non-functional integration and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in manual testing ensuring software meets stringent public sector quality and accessibility standards. and nbsp;

Key Responsibilities: and nbsp;
  • Manual Testing and Test Strategy Development: and nbsp;
  • Develop and execute test plans test scripts and test cases aligned with business and technical requirements. and nbsp;
  • Conduct detailed manual testing including functional regression system integration and user acceptance testing (UAT). and nbsp;
  • Identify log and track defects using tools like Jira ensuring accurate documentation and resolution. and nbsp;
  • Perform exploratory testing for edge cases and scenarios outside regular workflows. and nbsp;
  • Accessibility and Government Compliance Testing: and nbsp;
  • Test for accessibility compliance (AODA and WCAG 2.1) across all applications. and nbsp;
  • Validate systems against public sector policies ITIL processes and security/privacy standards. and nbsp;
  • Data and Systems Validation: and nbsp;
  • Create database queries to verify test data and ensure data integrity. and nbsp;
  • Test system configurations integrations and interfaces to validate end-to-end workflows. and nbsp;
  • Test Documentation and Reporting: and nbsp;
  • Maintain detailed documentation including test cases traceability matrices test results and defect logs. and nbsp;
  • Prepare and deliver testing progress updates and reports to stakeholders and project teams. and nbsp;
  • Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: and nbsp;
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers business analysts and project leads to clarify requirements and resolve issues. and nbsp;
  • Provide cross-training to team members on testing tools and techniques as needed. and nbsp;

  • Test Plans and Test Cases: and nbsp;
  • Comprehensive test plans and cases based on business and functional requirements. and nbsp;
  • Defect Reports: and nbsp;
  • Clear and concise documentation of all identified issues including steps to reproduce and impact analysis. and nbsp;
  • Accessibility Compliance Validation: and nbsp;
  • Testing reports detailing compliance with AODA and WCAG 2.1 standards. and nbsp;
  • Testing Summary Reports: and nbsp;
  • Periodic updates and final testing summaries that highlight progress defect resolution and overall quality status. and nbsp;
  • Traceability Matrices: and nbsp;
  • Documentation linking test cases to requirements to ensure comprehensive coverage. and nbsp;
  • Collaboration Logs: and nbsp;
  • Record of discussions and clarifications with stakeholders to support testing accuracy and alignment with project goals. and nbsp;

Skills
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
  • Manual Testing Expertise: and nbsp;(35%)
  • 5 years of experience in manual testing across various testing types (functional non-functional UAT). and nbsp;
  • Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). and nbsp;
  • Public Sector Compliance: and nbsp;(10%)
  • Proven experience in AODA compliance testing and WCAG 2.1 standards. and nbsp;
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and public sector testing requirements. and nbsp;
  • Defect Management: and nbsp;(15%)
  • Experience using tools like Jira to track and manage defects. and nbsp;
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and verify bug resolutions. and nbsp;

Skills: and nbsp;
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies including risk-based and exploratory testing. and nbsp;
  • Ability to create detailed test plans test cases and reports. and nbsp;
  • Proficiency with collaboration tools (e.g. Microsoft Teams Confluence). and nbsp;
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to work effectively with stakeholders. and nbsp;

Desirable Skills: and nbsp;
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. and nbsp;
  • Familiarity with database testing and writing SQL queries for data validation. and nbsp;
  • Knowledge of performance and load testing techniques. and nbsp;
