Job Summary:
The QA Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality of software applications through various testing methodologies. This role involves creating and executing test cases identifying and reporting defects and collaborating with development teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Location:Fredericton New Brunswick Canada
Responsibilities:
- Perform functional performance connectivity and regression testing.
- Apply quality assurance and system testing best practices and methodologies.
- Support the User Acceptance testing process including working with Business Owners executing Test Cases/Scripts Defect Reporting and Resolution tracking.
- Utilize Structured Query Language (SQL) in a QA environment.
- Support database upgrades.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- A University degree in Computer Science Health Sciences Business Administration or similar disciplines or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 4 years of testing experience including functional performance connectivity and regression testing.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in quality assurance and system testing best practices and methodologies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in security relating to data confidentiality and client privacy as it pertains to databases and application design and development.
- Proficiency in open source performance testing tools for web applications and web services.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance frameworks and experience with project methodologies such as Waterfall Waterscrum Agile.
- Experience with supporting the User Acceptance testing process.
- Experience in HP Quality Center or similar product.
- Experience working with Provincial Health Care and Electronic Health Records applications in a Canadian context.
