TEAM AND ROLE:

STX is building the digital infrastructure that powers global decarbonization.

As a Senior Software Engineer youll design and build the systems that run the complete trading lifecycle - from origination and risk management through trading settlement and reporting - forming the backbone of how STX operates at scale.

This is not a maintenance role. Its an opportunity to work on mission-critical platforms that connect financial performance with environmental impact - where technology trading and purpose converge.

Youll join a growing team of engineers product leaders and domain experts modernizing our architecture simplifying complexity and building the digital foundations that drive STXs next phase of growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and develop scalable services supporting the full trading lifecycle from front-office origination to back-office settlement and reconciliation.
Create clean APIs modular architectures and data pipelines to ensure clarity performance and reliability across the digital platform.
Translate complex business processes into maintainable production-ready software that scales with organizational needs.
Contribute to technical excellence by writing high-quality well-tested code and participating in design/code reviews to raise team standards.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Trading Risk Finance Operations and Data teams to deliver robust well-architected solutions.
Mentor and grow engineering talent sharing best practices modeling craftsmanship and fostering a culture of clarity and accountability.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

6-8 years of experience building scalable reliable software ideally in fintech trading platforms or data-intensive systems.
Proficiency in TypeScript with strong backend experience in Python or and hands-on experience with AWS serverless and event-driven architectures.
Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (CDK/Terraform) Kubernetes and cloud-native design patterns.
Strong system design and engineering fundamentals including clean architecture testing and production-grade software development.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills able to bridge technical and business perspectives and give/receive constructive feedback.
Curiosity and growth mindset staying up-to-date with emerging technologies like LLM-powered automation serverless systems and data-centric design.
