We are currently hiring CNM2- Endoscopy to join a reputed hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
Provide professional and clinical leadership that promotes efficiency innovation teamwork and continuous quality improvement within the Endoscopy Unit.
Lead and participate in internal and external audits and accreditation processes such as JAG JCI and HIQA to maintain high standards of care and compliance.
Manage staff rostering and ensure an appropriate skill mix based on clinical needs and available resources maintaining equitable and effective staffing levels.
Oversee the Endoscopy schedule to ensure optimal utilisation of procedure slots appropriate staffing and approval of any additional list requests.
Empower and support staff through effective communication regular feedback and ensuring participation in mandatory and developmental training programmes.
Ensure that all unit policies procedures and professional standards are current implemented effectively and aligned with hospital and regulatory requirements.
Promote collaboration and communication within the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe high-quality pre- intra- and post-operative care for all patients.
Maintain accurate staff records manage attendance and leave and ensure adherence to hospital policies related to performance conduct and professionalism.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention health and safety and medication management standards while maintaining a safe and hygienic clinical environment.
Support continuous professional development encourage research-informed practice manage resources efficiently and deputise for the Endoscopy Manager as required
Requirements
Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or eligible for registration.
Minimum five years post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting within the last nine years.
At least two years experience in a specialist area such as Endoscopy Day Surgery Theatre Medical or GI Nursing.
Experience working in a multi-professional healthcare environment.
Knowledge of JCI JAG or similar accreditation systems desirable.
Completed or willing to undertake a formal post-registration qualification relevant to the role (e.g. Management).
Demonstrated people management and leadership skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
Effective planning organisation and understanding of hospital operations.
Proficient in basic IT skills with experience in personal and professional development.
