Job Description:
We are looking for a DOLE OSH Site Safety Officer IV to join our Global Workplace Services Team (Facilities) to support our Manila operations.
As Site Safety Specialist you will support the APAC Facilities Manager in promoting safety culture while upholding Remitlys cultural values. Youll manage all safety aspects of administrative workplace services including maintenance procurement logistics housekeeping and security. Youll refine the Companys OSH Program and HSE initiatives and lead site business continuity incident response and emergency management. Youll also guide Safety Officers on implementing safety drills training and workshops in adherence to DOLE OSH standards. Proactively gather feedback through walkthroughs FGDs and surveys to enhance safety infrastructure continuously monitor hazards and take corrective actions to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure the site complies with all applicable OSH standards (DOLE Republic Act 11058 DOLE D.O. 198-18 & DOLE D.O. 252-25) for a safe and healthy working environment.
Achieve 100% safety and occupational health for Remitly personnel operations company assets and the environment through effective planning inspection monitoring follow-up and resolution of all HSE matters.
Improve the companys OSH Program and Policy and OSH Committee functions.
Conduct and validate regular HSE inspections and reports for all onsite areas and perform site-wide safety risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend appropriate measures.
Regularly inspect office spaces facilities and equipment to ensure they are well-maintained in impeccable condition and comply with established standards and regulations.
Support the site during Business Continuity Plan (BCP) Events supervise Emergency Response Team operations during BCP activation and maintain Emergency Preparedness Procedures for disaster situations like floods fires typhoons and earthquakes.
Handle internal communications creating and delivering facilities and BCP-related communications as needed.
Provide HIRAC support for company engagement events and celebrations (e.g. holiday/summer parties breakfasts socials quarterly team building) in partnership with local HR.
Ensure employee compliance with company safety rules facilities policies and house rules.
Investigate employee accidents and property damage make recommendations and lead the team in identifying root causes.
Prepare the Accident Record Logbook as per DOLE-Bureau of Working Condition.
Prepare accident statistics and accomplishment reports for management and DOLE at defined frequencies.
Collaborate with the Clinic Team to align and improve operations and management programs initiatives and best practices.
Conduct OSH Orientation for employees and supervisors on Occupational Safety and Health and/or supervise training conducted by SO3s.
Continuously monitor market/industry updates on safety situations precautions and responses and report timely to the fire marshal for appropriate directions and implementations.
Formulate review and update Health & Safety Policy guidelines and memoranda for implementation.
Support Workplace Services Daily Operations.
Assist the Facilities Manager with managing and directing as well as monitoring and driving above-par vendor performance to comply with Remitly and industry standards. This includes but is not limited to ancillary teams and vendors such as Security Housekeeping food concessionaire building management etc.
Manage assign and resolve incoming and ongoing facilities-related requests trouble tickets and inquiries via Remitlys ticket tool (e.g JIRA).
Support GWS by providing inputs for process procedure performance and cost inputs.
Support the site during Business Continuity Plan (BCP) Events. Supervise the operations of the Emergency Response Team during BCP activation.
Maintain Emergency Preparedness Procedure to handle disaster situations such as floods fires typhoons and earthquakes.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to workplace safety across multiple Remitly sites globally and may include tasks or projects in support of broader Global Workplace Services initiatives.

Highly empathetic and workplace-experience focused skilled in owning a portfolio of employee-related projects.
Demonstrated program management expertise with BCP OSH CSP and Pollution Control training certificates is an advantage but not required.
Proficient in collaboration and productivity tools including: Google Suite Slack Box Microsoft Office in both Windows and iOS systems as well as other complementary tools.
Required Experience:
At least 7 years of cumulative experience as a Safety Practitioner/Consultant or at a similar capacity.
Must be a Certified Safety Officer level 4.
Preferred Credentials should include: Loss Control Management (LCM) Safety Program & Audit (SPA) & HIRAC.
