Schedules: 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Job Highlights
The Supervising Technician for Infusion Authorizations is responsible for:
- Overseeing the daily operations of our specialty infusion authorization services (including: performing benefits investigation obtaining prior authorization approvals/Pre-certification coordinating insurance benefits coordinating financial assistance for medications and other patient-focused tasks).
- Working together with other leaders on the specialty pharmacy and ambulatory teams to achieve departmental goals.
- Providing coverage in the PCC infusion schedule as a floater.
- Promoting positive patient outcomes through ongoing patient and pharmacy communication.
- Working together with UAB billing services to ensure patients are accurately billed for services received.
- Coordinating recruitment and training for new hires in the department.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) License
- One (1) Year of Patient Care Coordinator (Patient Accounts Representative) Experience
Desirable Traits Include:
- Medical billing experience
