Hiring Unit: School of Continuing Studies Technology and Innovation
Hiring Period: November 01 2025 - April 30 2026 (six months part-time)
Hours per Week: 10 to 24 hours per week for six months

Project Overview: Techno-linguistic Literacy Training for English-Speaking Students in Quebec (Canada-Quebec Grant Agreement)
Key Responsibilities:
Documentary analysis of policies regarding the use of AI and linguistic AI in English-speaking universities in Quebec
Survey on the use of language technologies which will be sent to the 5000 McGill graduate students who speak English as their first language and French as their second language
Focus groups involving 50 students who completed the survey and whose level of proficiency in French is at least B2 (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) will participate in order to better understand their use and perception of language technologies as well as their behaviour in relation to them.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or Masters or PhD degree in a relevant field (e.g. translation studies multilingual communication localization).
Knowledge of the field of language technology management or multilingual NLP
Strong research and analytical skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
Sensitivity to issues of equity diversity and inclusion.
