Job Summary

Position Summary

The Project Manager Research Projects provides project management for research projects held by the Principal Investigator of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) Project. The incumbent engages with project partner organizations contractors and service providers during the project life cycle and ensures programs and projects are executed completed and delivered within the specified timelines.

The position oversees planning procurement operationalization monitoring and financial control. Ensures the appropriate workflow procedures are in place for timely project success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working as a project or program manager on externally funded research projects.
  • Experience managing development projects and programs.
  • Experience working with federal or provincial government partners.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Experience with budgeting processes and frameworks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills problem solving and communication skills.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in Results-Based Management Program Implementation Plans and Gender Based Analysis Plus.
  • Preference for candidates with experience working with post-secondary institutions.
  • Projects may require the incumbent to travel nationally and internationally.
