Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the administration and supervision of all disbursements and deposits of the prison industries state inmate pay private sector funds and community services funds.
  • Coordinate the accurate accurate processing of inmate pay and accurately and properly distribute all W-2s for private sector inmate participants.
  • Oversee special funds accounts to ensure accountability is maintained.
  • Supervise the account ANT/Fiscal analyst I for special funds area who is responsible for verification and disbursement of all special funds accounts.
  • Collection and disbursement of generated reports for FA.
  • Verify all central banking deposits entered by A/P. Complete monthly disbursement of special funds subsidiary ledgers.
  • Monitor assist in research and process state and county courts and the department of probation parole and pardon service for child support and/or restitution owed by inmates working in either the work release program or in a prison industries program to ensure that obligations are entered into the system.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma and professional experience in a related area such as accounting auditing finance or banking. A bachelors degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for the required work experience.




SCDC Minimum Requirements:

(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).


  • A bachelors degree in accounting.
OR
  • An associate degree in accounting with three (3) years experience in accounting or auditing.
OR
  • A high school diploma with five (5) years experience in accounting or auditing.
