Job Responsibilities
Serve as the central point of contact on classification matters at the reception and evaluation center.
Manage the institutional classification sections.
Supervise/review all classification actions.
Interpret court orders to determine inmate sentences and computation of time.
Respond orally and/or through written correspondence to inquiries of information on inmates by departmental officials and other agencies.
Serve as backup to the program manager of the reception and evaluation center.
Train classification caseworkers and record analyst in sentence interpretation.
Supervise the staff of caseworkers responsible for the institutional section of the reception and evaluation center.
Serves as backup to the R&E assessment case manager.
Perform other related duties as required.
Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
