Position Overview
Agency requires a Mainframe Testerto support the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of enterprise financial systems. The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting troubleshooting and improving legacy mainframe applications. This is a part-time position(15-20 hours per week) with a flexible schedule offering the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work in a mission-driven environment.

Note:The required resource needs to provide QA services for software that runs on the IBM zOS mainframe and related order to provide such services the required resource needs an expert understanding of code development.

Key Responsibilities

Perform software system development related to system enhancements upgrades and ongoing maintenance.
Provide software and system support for issue resolution including break/fix and bug repair tasks.
Develop maintenance documentation for coding changes and break/fix resolution.
Provide quality assurance and testing of code changes.
Provide informal coaching and knowledge transfer to agency support personnel related to system functions and changes implemented.

Preferred Skills

Experience working in public sector or government environments.
Familiarity with legacy financial applications and modernization efforts.
Strong documentation communication and knowledge-sharing capabilities.
