Job Summary
Carlow University is seeking experienced and dedicated nurse practitioner professionals to serve as Adjunct Faculty in our Graduate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Program. Adjunct faculty are responsible for teaching graduate-level courses mentoring FNP students and contributing to the academic rigor of the program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach assigned graduate-level FNP courses (didactic and/or clinical) in accordance with the program curriculum and course objectives.
- Develop prepare and deliver engaging lectures learning activities and assignments.
- Evaluate student performance through timely and constructive feedback on assignments exams and clinical evaluations.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and grades.
- Stay current with best practices in FNP clinical practice education and relevant accreditation standards.
- Engage in effective communication with students program director and department chair.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher from an accredited institution.
- Current unrestricted Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current unrestricted certification and licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent clinical experience as an FNP.
- Prior teaching experience in a graduate nursing program is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (e.g. DNP PhD EdD) from an accredited institution.
