About the Office of Medical Education
The Corewell Health Lakeland Office of Medical Education (OME) focuses on postgraduate training of medical professionals including medical students residents and advanced practice providers. The OME serves as a base campus for 3rdand 4thyear medical students from Central Michigan University School of Medicine and Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. The OME Department also houses Graduate Medical Education residency programs in Internal Medicine Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine. Graduate Medical Education (GME) is the period of time after medical school where physicians train in their desired specialty under the supervision of faculty physicians.
About Corewell Health South Hospitals
The health system comprises threehospitals a regional cancer center rehabilitation centers two long-term care residences home care and hospice services and 34 affiliate physician practice locations. We provide both inpatient and outpatientmedical servicesthroughout Southwest Michigan.
Scope of work
Directs and maintains accountability for complex multi-faceted programs. Provides administrative support through the appropriate use of software and/or other tools. Exhibits initiative and knowledge to assure operations carry on in the usual manner in managements absence.
Qualifications
Required
Associates Degree specific course work in office administration/secretarial science or equivalent level of education and experience
2 years of relevant experience secretarial computer experience administrative projects program management office statistical data collection and analysis working in a high volume service industry working in business or accounting cash handling data systems managed care Medicare product industry experience dealing with the public preferably in the medical or customer service field database development relevant clinical directing the workload of others specimen collection and client services health care environment hospital/physician/clerical experience or experience in a medical research environment
