Job Summary

About the Role:

You will be part of a dynamic and inclusive business enterprise that provides opportunities for people with disabilities to be employed alongside other trade-skilled team members to maintain a wide variety of sites for our commercial clients. You will be hands on leading the team from the front with a variety of gardening tasks grounds maintenance and cleaning.

  • Promotes positive team relationships that reflect our values working collaboratively and cooperatively to facilitate team results and effectiveness.
  • Leads small teams providing coaching and allocating and prioritising work between team members to meet contract specifications and scheduling.
  • Immediately report any accidents injuries identified hazards and/or risks.
  • Develop positive relationships with external customers suppliers and contractors promoting Aruma services through excellent customer service.

Skills that make you stand out:

  • A trade and/or horticulture certificate or equivalent qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Problem solving and technical skills to address maintenance contract and scheduling issues.
  • A high level of physical fitness to meet the manual handling requirements of the position.
  • Sound verbal and written communication. Sound negotiation skills able to resolve conflict and assess when to escalate issues.
  • Sound organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Valid current drivers license.
  • Working with Children Check or willing to obtain.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or willing to obtain.
  • White card and understanding of WHS requirements.
  • Formal team leadership training and/or equivalent knowledge and experience with demonstrated ability to supervise and support staff.
