Role Overview
AsTreasury Analyst II youwillsupport the overallTreasury and Cash ManagementoftheCortlandenterprise. Investors colleagues and partners alike have absolute confidence intreasury andcash managementbecause of your leadership adherence totreasury departmentrules and company policy and preciseattention to detail.
- Initiate or release wires ACH transactions account transfers booktransfersand intercompany transfers including capital markettransactions
- Analyze fees earnings credit interest and interest withholding to ensure Cortlandischargeda reasonable market rate and is consistent with targets.
- Verify and authorize payments through established call back procedures and account validation tools tomaintaincontrol and prevent fraud.
- Prepare andmaintainaccuratebank documentation including accounting forms wire templates and ACH instruction files.
- Monitor debt service payments to ensure payments areissuedand bank accounts have adequate liquidity through community forecasts.
- Monitor and manage surplus cash.
- Monitor closed bank accounts contacting banking partners to ensuretimelycompletionsof requests.
- Supporting the roles and responsibilities of the Treasury Analyst I as needed.
Additionally you will support the Treasurer in:
- Provide daily corporate cash position moving cash as
- Provide daily corporate cashforecast
- Solveliquidity requestsand other urgent requestsfrom our banking partnerswithin the requiredtimeframeprovided
- Managerequests from accounting capital markets and Cortlands external counsel for urgentactionitems
- Provide month end rebate accrual for virtual and plastic creditcards
- Provide weekly review of cashdeposits
- Manage allDepartment tasks to ensuretimelyexecution andcompletion
- Ensure fraud mitigationprocedures arefollowed
- Action all items that require immediate attentionfrom internal Cortland departments and external partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting or financerequired.
- 2 years in accountingor finance.
- Great timemanagement and ability to meetdeadlines
- Ability to quickly respond to urgentrequests
- Very goodcommunication andinterpersonal skills
- Well-organized and ability toprioritize
- Highly analytical with strongattention to detail
- Team player able tochange schedule to accommodate the goals of the team and the company.
- Able tohandlepressureand projects with little or no advance warning.
