Maintenance Technician II
Pay: $29-$34/hr
Location: Henderson
Schedule:Tues-Sat 6:00am-2:30pm
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician II performs a variety of preventive reactive and repair maintenance tasks on production machinery and facility equipment. This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities and intermediate to advanced knowledge of mechanical pneumatic hydraulic and electrical systems. The technician will identify and resolve issues efficiently support production continuity and provide guidance to Maintenance Technician I employees when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform installation maintenance and repair of production machinery and facility systems.
Conduct emergency and scheduled maintenance to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Assist in identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Read and interpret blueprints manuals and work orders to perform repairs and maintenance.
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and log activities.
Fabricate and repair equipment components using wood metal or other materials.
Perform basic plumbing carpentry and general facility maintenance.
Utilize hand and power tools electric meters and material handling equipment safely.
Record maintenance activities including time parts used and repair documentation.
Adhere to all FDA GMP OSHA and company safety standards including lockout/tagout procedures.
Maintain clean organized and safe work areas following 5S principles.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and communicate effectively with maintenance and production teams.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills including conveyor and automation systems.
Working knowledge of PLC systems and sortation controls preferred.
Ability to read blueprints technical manuals and engineering specifications.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
Ability to work variable shifts weekends and be on call as needed.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook).
Understanding of standard building codes and safety regulations.
Work Environment:
Exposure to food allergens such as wheat nuts coconut and soy products.
May require standing lifting and working in varying temperature and noise conditions.
Use of appropriate PPE required at all times.
