In this role youll install test and maintain electrical systems troubleshoot and repair equipment and ensure all wiring and components meet safety codes. Using blueprints hand tools and testing devices youll keep operations running smoothly and safely. Environmental training may be required.
Pay Rate between $28.08 and $31.08
- Assemble install test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring equipment appliances apparatus and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers transformers or other components.
- Inspect electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring equipment and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters voltmeters to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring equipment and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes
- Follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building safety codes
- If applicable; Must complete all required Environmental training specific to this job
Qualifications :
Required:
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Associate Degree in Electrical Technologies (or equivalent) or Completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent training or
Advanced electrical knowledge and skills with the ability to program and install any electrical device currently usedor planned for future usewithin the plant.
Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with personnel at all levels.
Ability to follow all work directives and safety procedures.
Ability to read policies and proceduresmost of which are in Englishand communicate moderately in English.
Preferred:
2 years of industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing warehouse military or related environment.
Strong background in troubleshooting maintaining and installing electrical systems in an industrial setting.
