Roles and Responsibilities:

The role is multifaceted and crucial for the success of the institution with a special focus on managing a girls residential school.

1. Administrative Responsibilities

• School Management: Oversee daily operations ensuring all activities run smoothly and efficiently.

• Policy Implementation: Implement and enforce all school policies especially those specific to the residential aspect of the school.

• Budget Management: Prepare and manage the school budget ensuring proper resource allocation.

• Staff Supervision: Hire train and supervise all staff ensuring they are motivated and effective.

• Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance of all school facilities including dormitories classrooms and dining halls.

2. Academic Responsibilities

• Curriculum: Ensure the curriculum meets educational standards and student needs.

• Academic Oversight: Monitor and evaluate teaching methods and educational programs.

• Student Assessment: Oversee the assessment of student progress including exams and testing.

• Professional Development: Promote continuous professional development for all teachers and staff.

3. Pastoral and Residential Life

• Student Welfare: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students providing a supportive environment.

• Behavior Management: Implement and monitor disciplinary policies.

• Counseling: Provide or facilitate access to counseling and mental health services for students.

• Residential Oversight: Oversee all aspects of residential life to ensure it contributes positively to student development.

4. Community and Strategic Planning

• Parent Engagement: Maintain open communication with parents regarding progress and events.

• Public Representation: Represent the school at public events and conferences promoting its values.

• Vision and Goals: Develop and articulate a clear vision and set strategic goals for the schools future.

• Program Development: Introduce and manage new programs that align with the schools mission.

• Change Management: Lead the school through major changes ensuring smooth transitions.
