Brunswicks Integrated Manufacturing Center (BIMC) located in Merritt Island Florida supports the growth and development of Sea Ray Boston Whaler and other Brunswick boat brands. This location formally a Sea Ray Sport Yacht and Yacht facility centralizes Brunswicks vertical integration capabilities to deliver efficient cost effective capacity and productivity planning to the Brunswick boat brands.

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Sews various fabrics including vinyls and clear vinyls from patterns or measurements.
  • Pulls parts and materials for daily activities.
  • May cut some materials and checks completed materials for proper fit and finish.
  • Monitors work production schedule.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The candidate must have prior knowledge and experience in the following areas and must be able to perform these functions with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Typically requires a high school education and one year of prior experience with industrial sewing machines.
  • Ability to read and understand production schedule job descriptions and prints
  • Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal
  • Working knowledge of procedures instructions and documents as it relates to the quality system

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must possess the desire and ambition to work safely at all times and report all hazards to their Supervisor immediately
  • Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA DEP and other regulatory agencies
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated including but not limited to: safety glasses hearing protection gloves etc.
  • Must be able to understand and complete the OSHA questionnaire pass spirometer test and physically wear a respirator where required
  • Must be able to physically handle the requirements of the job including lifting bending climbing stairs standing etc.

Must be able to understand all safety related document and worksite rules and practices equipment operating instructions documented safety management systems and health and safety requirements including the General Safety Rules and Individual Safety Commitment.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $18.70 to $24.30 hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills relevant experience business needs and geographic location.

At Brunswick it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidates qualifications and the business context.
