  • The Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic vision for how Dallas ISD reaches children aged 0-3 with quality educational experiences increases enrollment & program outcomes for Dallas ISDs Pre-K 3- and 4-year-old programs. and improves outcomes in K-2 classrooms throughout the District. Responsible for maximizing the expertise and impact of the early learning team to meet the educational needs of 50000 current Dallas ISD students (nearly one third of the overall District population) within our schools. The Assistant Superintendent will supervise the early learning initiative one centers and overall academic enrollment strategy for Dallas ISD need proven experience in strategic planning collective impact. organizational management marketing and systems development.

  • Design and implement a program to improve outcomes for young children. Major outcomes are to include rates of kindergarten readiness and 3rd grade reading proficiency. Design and implement one of the states largest early learning initiatives to improve outcomes for young children such as rates of kindergarten readiness and 3rd grade reading and math proficiency.

  • Supervise the leaders of Centralized Enrollment One Centers Choice lotteries and overall enrollment strategy for the school district.

  • Supervise the SRI partnership sites and all assistant principals for over 1200 students including day to day operations and instructional decisions.

  • Ensure Early Childhood Management Team supports campus principals to provide increased specialized training supports directly to students and to teachers of early learners utilizing the latest research on successful classroom techniques for improving cognitive development and social-emotional health of children in PreK- 2nd Grade and with the necessary tools. support systems and institutional capabilities to improve student performance and meet state and federal performance standards.

  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of and Early Childhood Management Team; meet regularly to collaboratively develop professional learning experiences and plans for improvement.

  • Ensure District position as a thought-leader and active partner of collaborative community efforts to drive early education during out of school time.

  • Work collaboratively with District leaders and Future Facilities Task Force members on data-driven infrastructure plan to improve student access to Dallas ISD Pre-K.

  • Work collaboratively with a broad coalition of community organizations. as well as agencies and internal departments to increase parent demand for Pre-K and early education opportunities.

  • Work collaboratively with School Leadership to improve the quality of the early childhood program. Quality improvement efforts will include the use of student and program data to develop to develop and provide professional development for administrators and teachers.

  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to increase the continuum of care for early learners to ensure the community is effectively aligning to maximize use of community resources during out of school time.

  • Ensure early childhood programs comply with TEA state. federal and School Board policies and law.

  • Oversee proper business and budget practices to ensure effective utilization of funds.

  • Ensure District maintains leadership voice in State policy issues related to early childhood education.

  • Ensure Early Childhood Management Team implement district policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure learning environment for students.

  • Establish a collaborative relationship with all departments and external providers to ensure support of early childhood academic fiscal training and facility needs.
