The Position
As a key member of the Philanthropy team the Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for the development and growth of a portfolio of corporate partnerships and contributing to the Corporate teams annual fundraising targets. As a core driver in Plan International Canadas strategic plan the Philanthropy team is focused on high impact and transformational giving opportunities for donors partners and stakeholders to help children especially girls realize their full potential.
The Manager Corporate Partnerships is often a first point of contact for prospective corporate donors. This position plays a leadership role in managing employee giving and corporate matching programs sponsorships and one-time-gifts.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and relationship builder with a passion for social impact and a strong understanding of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the Canadian corporate landscape. They will be a self-motivated professional who thrives working independently while effectively collaborating across departments to deliver meaningful partner engagement opportunities.
What success looks like
- Leads new business development by researching and qualifying corporate prospects initiating outreach and supporting proposal development aligned with corporate interests and the organizations values and strategic priorities.
- Manages a portfolio of 75 corporate prospects and partners ensuring strong communication timely stewardship and meaningful engagement. Supports the execution of partnership deliverables including gift agreements impact reporting and recognition.
- Promotes key fundraising campaigns and appeals to external stakeholders through online giving platforms including Benevity NeonOne etc. and provides support with donation reports. Represents the organization at digital and live events like company lunch and learns townhalls and webinars.
- Meets and drives revenue and KPIs to achieve personal and team fundraising targets by cultivating new corporate partners and renewing or upgrading existing partnerships to help further our mission.
- Supports Team PLAY (Policy Leadership Advocacy and Youth) with soliciting and stewarding key corporate partners for our signature Girls Belong Here initiative executed on International Womens Day. Meets the expectations of internal and external stakeholders ensuring deliverables are manageable and achievable.
- Maintains and grows the existing corporate employee engagement program and corporate matching programs by maximizing Plans presence on online giving platforms and nurturing relationships with key corporate stakeholders.
- Works effectively across various internal teams (i.e. Marketing Communications PLAY and Philanthropy) to identify corporate engagement opportunities and deliver integrated partnership experiences.
- Inspires corporate partners to support the organizations mission and values contributing to long-term impact and multi-year partnerships.
As our ideal candidate you will have:
- Proven track record in fundraising with corporations or related experience in sponsorship sales marketing business development or corporate account relations.
- A strong work ethic coupled with tact diplomacy initiative resourcefulness creativity and a positive can do attitude.
- Excellent networking and negotiation skills including the ability to interpret interest of corporations and translate them into attractive partnership opportunities.
- Strong written verbal and presentation skills with proven confidence in cold outreach and pitching to prospective donors and sponsors.
- Excellent organizational research and project management skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated successful management of multiple projects and cross-collaboration; capable of exercising independent judgment and flexibility.
- Adept at using Salesforce (or equivalent CRM system) to track moves management.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire confidence and trust in corporate stakeholders and cooperation among staff colleagues.
- A passion for mission driven work and personal values aligned with those of Plan International Canadas organizational values of gender equality childrens rights and helping girls reach their full potential.
- A valid drivers license and ability to travel within the GTA as required.

The salary range for this position is anticipated to be between $64000 and $80000. We comprehensively evaluate a variety of factors to determine fair compensation including experience specific job-related skills and relevant educational or professional training.
