In partnership with Metrolinx ACCIONA is playing a key role in the design and construction of the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension (ECWE) a 9.2-kilometre westward addition to Torontos Line 5 light rail transit network.

This major infrastructure project includes seven new stations and installation of rail and systems under a progressive design-build model.
Beyond its technical scope the ECWE project represents a significant investment in sustainable urban mobility expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 5800 tonnes annually and eliminate over 6.5 million vehicle trips each year when combined with the full Line 5.

The Reporting Specialist is responsible for developing maintaining and optimizing reporting solutions to support project performance monitoring asset management and stakeholder reporting. This role requires advanced technical expertise in Power BI data integration and visualization with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights for internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and custom trackers to monitor KPIs project schedules and resource utilization.

• Integrate datasets from multiple enterprise systems (e.g. Oracle Fusion Cloud Zedas Hexagon) to provide real-time accurate reporting.

• Support Primavera P6 scheduling by creating automated progress and deadline tracking tools.

• Design and implement data management strategies to improve reporting efficiency data quality and decision-making.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define KPIs reporting requirements and performance metrics.

• Provide storytelling dashboards with parameterized views for executive-level reporting and performance trend analysis.

• Support stakeholders by translating user requirements into technical specifications ensuring alignment with business needs.

• Apply ETL techniques (Power Query DAX Azure Logic Apps) to clean transform and automate data flows.

• Ensure high-quality reporting by conducting data validation testing and debugging of BI solutions.

• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement leveraging agile and iterative development approaches.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Analytics or a related field.
• 35 years of experience in reporting data analysis or BI development preferably within infrastructure transportation or engineering projects.
• Proficiency in:
  • Power BI (DAX Power Query Service)
  • ETL processes APIs JSON SQL
  • Primavera P6 reporting integration
  • Microsoft 365 SharePoint Asite Dalux
• Strong knowledge of data management performance analytics and KPI development.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with stakeholders and producing executive-level reporting dashboards.
• Certifications such as PMP Agile or BI-related credentials are considered an asset.
