Job Summary

Food & Textiles Technician - February 2026 start
Contract: Part Time / Permanent - Term Time only plus 5 Inset days
Hours of work: 21 hours per week Monday - Friday
Salary: Grade(Actual: 12281 - 12465)

We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated and dedicated individual to join our Technology department. You will be joining a large & friendly department with a mutually supportive ethos and an ideal mixture of youth and experience. This has led to the department being highly successful and well-resourced.

The successful candidate will work with the Technology Department to ensure that pupils and teaching staff are appropriately supported. This will consist of technical and administrative assistance. Practical experience of working in a team-based or academic department would be advantageous. Candidates should have a passion for food & textiles and play a proactive role in developing their skills and experience.

Main purpose of role includes:

  • To provide technical and administrative support to Food Textile and other teaching staff
  • Supervising and directing students where asked to by teaching staff
  • Ensuring food rooms are kept clean and hygienic
  • Arranging for maintenance and testing of specialist machines
  • Contribute to the wider school by supporting with schools initiatives when required
