Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary full-time Procurement Category Manager to join our dynamic Procurement team.
The Procurement Category Manager is responsible for strategic sourcing for a specific internal client or one or more key commodities. This involves all aspects of the strategic sourcing process including developing a high level of knowledge of current state and possible evolution of assigned commodity working with internal clients to develop RFP specifications that will bring the best options and value to Canadian Blood Services managing RFP process and leading cross functional negotiations with suppliers.
This role is responsible for analyzing changes or issues with materials and supplies (both internal and external) and recommends solutions for reducing overall lifecycle costs to Canadian Blood Services (not just unit price) and improving quality.
The Procurement Category Manager will also develop and monitor compliance with procurement policies and procedures including those with respect to managing the relationship with the supplier. The Category Manager creates compiles and files all documentation needed in keeping with Canadian Blood Services records management policies.
