Procurement 17: Salaries typically range from $83037 to $110717 annually based on qualifications and experiences.
Location:
Export Development Canadaoperatesin a hybrid work environment currently requiring employees to work in the office2 days per week.(subject to change)
This role can be performed from EDCs headquarters in Ottawa.

Corporate Functions Transformation ERP Program
The Corporate Functions Transformation (CFT) program is a multi-year strategic initiative designed to modernize and unify core business processes across HR Finance Procurement and IT. At its heart is the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform replacing legacy systems and siloed processes with an integrated efficient and future-ready solution.
EDCs Procurement Team enables our clients decision-making by providingexpertiseand advisory services in contractingsourcingand procurement processes. The teamis responsible forsafeguarding the reputation of EDCs procurement practices whilemaintainingthe highest ethical standards.
What you will be doing:
Negotiates favorable terms volume discounts and long-term contracts withsuppliers andprepares andprocessesrequisitions for the procurement of goodsand servicesadministers contract terms and conditionsprocesses amendments to contract terms and conditions.
Evaluates contract compliance andadvisesothers on contractual rights and obligations.
Facilitates the identification definition and modification of RFPs/RFIs/RFQs/RFTs (formal Competitive Procurement Processes)participatesin the determination of acceptable bidswhile considering allfacetsof risk mitigation standards controls and processes while safeguarding EDCs reputation.
Advises and proactively influences internal clients throughout the entire acquisition process; advises on procedural issues legislative regulations and industry guidelines and best practices assuring that the needs are met with theappropriate balanceof opportunityaccountabilityandbest value.
Works closely with internalclients to aid in the development ofrequirementsstatementsof work deliverables or other industry norms;identifiestheappropriate meansto eitherfacilitateacquisition or proposal solicitationin accordance withrelevant Policyand Trade Agreement obligations.
Maintains efficientrecords ofallprocurementdocumentsincluding purchase orders commercialcontractsand formal proposal the undertakingandthe entire procurement process for audit purposes.
Undertakes research or new services and product opportunities along with new potential sources of supply and make recommendationson an ongoing basis.
Participates in Corporate initiatives and projects.
Maintains up to date filesin accordance withthe Procurementteamsinformation management standards
What we are looking for:
Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or another related field
Minimum of 5 years ofdirectly relatedexperience in a Procurement environment with 3 years experience guiding formal competitive procurement processes.
Knowledge and understanding of complex contracts commercial contracts and competitive procurement processes.
Knowledge of Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) and the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and the ability to apply the elements of this agreement to all parts of the procurement process
Knowledge of the procurement industryandbest practices.
What will make you stand out:
Significant progression towards professional certification (Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA))
Knowledge of the Government of Canada methods of supply for procurement and familiarity with PSPC (Public Services and Procurement Canada) and SSC (Shared Services Canada) procurement tools and platforms.
Bilingual in both official languages (English and French)
