Job Summary
Cedar Park Group is hiring an experienced Estimator with at least 5 years of experience in the commercial construction industry. This is a direct-hire position offering full-time hours and long-term stability with a reputable private-sector construction firm.
Schedule/Shift: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Position Overview:
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and project schedules by analyzing construction plans specifications and other documentation. This role requires strong collaboration with multiple departments including MEP site utility roofing and manufacturing to build comprehensive estimates. The ideal candidate has prior experience in the private-sector commercial construction industry and is highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Review and interpret construction drawings specifications and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Build complete project estimates with input from internal teams including MEP site utility roofing and manufacturing departments.
Analyze labor material and time requirements for projects to prepare detailed estimates.
Assist in preparing bid proposals budgets and schedules.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential project risks.
Maintain organized records of estimates and bid documentation.
Requirements (Mandatory & Desired):
Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimator in commercial construction.
Knowledge of the private-sector commercial construction industry (preferred).
Proficiency with measuring tools such as a hammer and tape measure (per supervisor requirements).
OSHA 10 Certification (required).
Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
