PRECONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR

JOB SUMMARY

The Preconstruction Estimator has a key role in Cooper Steels preconstruction process responsible for accurately projecting the realistic costs of a job while keeping costs low maximizing profits and maintaining strong business integrity. Analytical and detail-oriented by nature Preconstruction Estimators must be comfortable communicating with customers collaborating with internal teams and multitasking.

So if youre ready to build with us were looking for someone:

With 2-5 years of experience in preconstruction estimating and a bachelors degree in a related field
Fluent and comfortable with Microsoft Excel and adept to learning new software quickly
Analytical and wired to problem-solve
Communication-driven with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team or independently
Interested in construction preferably with previous construction experience
Detail-oriented and exceptional in time management able to multitask maintain organization and meet deadlines under pressure
Flexible and unafraid to ask questions or share ideas

Analyze costs and budgets for construction projects
Provide accurate estimates for materials labor and equipment
Collaborate with estimators project managers and coordinators to develop project plans and prepare and submit bids and proposals
Review and analyze project specifications and drawings
Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors
