Job Description:
Job Summary: This position is responsible for the accounting operations of the company including periodic financial reports maintenance of an adequate system of accounting and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk enhance the accuracy of the companys reported financial results and ensure the reported results comply with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and/or generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP).
Job Responsibilities:
- Establishes or recommends to management major corporate economic strategies objectives and policies for the company.
- Prepares reports to summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income expenses and earnings based on past present and expected operations.
- Prepare specific reports for different Business Units and Stakeholders.
- Perform variance analysis of budgets vs. actuals and forecasts monthly.
- Determining and analyzing variable costs (e.g. direct labor materials costs utilities).
- Determining and analyzing fixed costs (e.g. salaries rent and insurance).
- Directs preparation of budgets reviews budget proposals and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
- Provides management with timely reviews of organizations financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
- Calculate and update Standard Cost and standard cost roll-up as part of the annual budgeting process
- Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
- Performs other accounting duties as requested by the Accounting Sr. Manager
- Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets.
- Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions.
- Arranges for audits of companys accounts and interfaces with outside firms as necessary.
- Provides oversite to the physical inventory processes.
- Wears all required PPE and follow all Safety Procedures; supports and participates in 6S activities.
- Adhere to ASIs Safety Policy and practices and report any potential unsafe condition or concern to the Safety department immediately and/or to your direct supervisor.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure proper safety practices are in place and enforced.
- Assist with implementation of new safety practices.
- Recognize unsafe conditions and implement corrective action where needed.
- Responsible for leadership and skill development of your direct reports including identification of training needs approval of training classes and follow-up after training to determine effectiveness (observed behavior changes evidence of skills learned an implemented).
