Summary:Blue Ridge Industries requires anAssistant Supervisor who works closely with the Shift Supervisor to ensure all operations run smoothly reporting any or ongoing problems to the shift supervisor. They assign tasks to subordinate employees and provide or coordinates operator training as required. An Assistant Supervisor is responsible to also fulfill the duties of the shift supervisor in their absence. Please Note: This is for a 12 hour night time position that follows a 2-2-3 schedule. You must be willing to work night shift- 5:45 pm- 6 am. DUTIES: - Assigns tasks to employees.
- Monitors employee work habits and makes sure tasks are completedin a timely fashion.
- Conducts performance reviews.
- Writes up reports of employee behavior or customer complaints.
- Keeps work area clean and organized.
- Motivates employees and offers incentives for strong workperformances.
- Responds quickly and practically to emergencies crises orunexpected problems during the shift.
- Makes sure daily production goals are met.
- Ensures that inventory is accounted for.
- Keeps supervisor and upper level management apprised of dailyoperations.
- Trains new employees.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: - Works well with a team.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Maintains professional but friendly demeanor.
- Possesses physical strength necessary to move and stock merchandiseor products in stores and warehouses.
- Demonstrates familiarity with basic computer programs such asWord and Excel.
- Is familiar with inventory software.
- Manages time effectively and efficiently.
- Pays close attention to detail.
- Is capable of disciplining or reprimanding employees when necessary.
- Responds calmly and professionally to emergencies customers orother stressful situations in the workplace.
- Demonstrates ability to multitask on a daily basis.
- Exhibits broad familiarity with company products and organization ofmanufacturing facility and warehouse.
