Position Summary:
MarketingCommercial&FieldSeniorDirector willreport to the General Manager andlead amarketing andfield team focused on business optimization and patient-centered outcomes in the rare disease landscape. Work Model:
Flex: This role will typically require onsite work 2-3 days each week or more depending on business many locations the business will set certain days each week that Flex employees are required to be onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the execution of themarketing andcommercial plans and strategies to support early and broad access to innovative therapies for rare diseases ensuring alignment with the companysobjectives.
- Lead supportand coach a high-performingMarketingandField Team setting and exceeding performance expectations while fostering a culture of accountability compliance and integrity.
- Establish andmaintainstrong relationships with key stakeholders including healthcare providers KOLs distributors(in countries where applicable)to drive patient treatmentandadherence.
- Provide oversight and strategic directionformarket dataanalysis todevelop actionablemarketing andcommercialbusiness planstooptimizegrowth opportunitiesaligning both areas strategies and expected outcomes
- Provides guidance on defining and monitoringkey performance indicators across the patient journey from diagnosis to treatment ensuringcross-functional integration focused onseamless execution and measurable outcomes.
- Oversee the commercial pathway for product sales managingchannelsand service providers while ensuring compliance with governance and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams includingGMmedical and market access to address systematic barriers tocareand implement innovative solutions.
- Developmanageandmakescriticaldecisionstothe annualcommercialbusiness plansalesbudgetforecastexercisesandfinancialobjectives continuously evaluating risks and opportunities to drive business success bringing shortmediumand long-term strategiesto address trends risks and commercial/marketing needsthatimpactthe department and function performance.
- Lead efforts to educate and expand the healthcare provider community
- Champion innovation and influence organizational decision-making by recommendingnew approaches conceptualizing strategic initiatives and contributing to the companys long-term vision.
- Navigates ambiguous situations acrosscountry specific market assessing complex less tangible factorsrelated to the salesandidentifyingcore issues providing strategic direction to thecommercial and marketing teams.
- Collaborates with executive leadership (XLT-1 or XLT-2) on mattersimpactingmid to long-termcountry commercial sales and marketinggoals ensuring alignment withregional and commercial globalpriorities.
- Usesadvanced communication and persuasion strategies to negotiate on behalf ofcommercial and marketing teams onstrategic matters. Provides clear direction tothoseteams to ensure successful completion of goals.
- Manages and deploys a mix of resources to deliver onmedium to largescale projects/initiatives acrosscountry specific departments that cross function with commercial team.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in business administrationmarketing lifesciences or related field; Masters or MBA highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of leadershipmanaging teams exceptionalexperience in commercial marketingand field roles preferably in high-cost specialty therapeutic areas rarediseasesor orphan drugs.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategies and value propositions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams drive change and implement innovative solutions in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Exceptional organizational analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong ability to manage ambiguityuncertaintiesand achieve results.
- Strong leadership and people management experiencea provenability toidentifyand harness business opportunities and a deep commitment tooperatingwith a patient-first focus.
