Job Summary

SUMMARY
Provides psychosocial assessment care planning and intervention for assigned patients and families. Coordinates referrals and ensures continuity of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes. Supports departmental goals and provides coverage during absences vacancies and on-call periods.

COMPETENCIES

A. Education

  • MSW from an accredited school of social work.

B. Knowledge

  • Knowledge of biopsychosocial and cultural factors in clinical practice.

  • Familiarity with social work systems procedures and community resources.

  • Understanding of the health care environment and ability to synthesize data for patient care decisions.

C. Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in clinical social work within mental health or health care settings.

  • Analytical ability to assess needs develop treatment plans and recommend care improvements.

D. Licensure/Certification

  • Licensed by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners at the LMSW level.

  • Exceptions per Board regulations for qualified out-of-state applicants with pending licensure.

E. Experience

  • Minimum one year of clinical social work experience preferably in a mental health or health care setting (internship may apply).

Salary Range: Minimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
